This is my only attempt at a vampire story, and I wanted it to be different and original. Like something Ramsey Campbell might write. My sister Nancy works as a social worker for battered women, and so I’ve heard a lot about homeless people, and how their lives play out in a dim world forgotten by the masses who rush past on their way to the mall. In this world there is no glamor like a trendy Breaking Dawn romance. It is a world inhabited by transients and drug addicts, just where a vampire might go to live or to hide, perhaps in shame, perhaps (just maybe) wishing he wasn’t who he is, and also needing help he (or it) has been unable to find. . .
